Catalogue and product listings

Product listings that are accurate, complete and findable

We look after Shopify product catalogues: writing and fixing product pages, sorting variants and images, filling in the fields Google Shopping requires, and keeping stock and prices true. Bulk work on hundreds of products included, from $499 a month or hourly.

This is for you if

You have more products than you can personally keep on top of, and you suspect a lot of them are listed badly or not showing up anywhere.

Signs you need it

  • Your product descriptions are copy-pasted from the supplier
  • Google Shopping rejects your products and you do not know why
  • Customers ask questions the product page should already answer
  • Some products have one photo and some have nine
  • You cannot face editing three hundred products by hand

Not for you if

If you have fewer than about twenty products and they are all accurate, you do not need this as a standing service.

Why this matters more than it sounds

A product page is the only salesperson most small stores have. It is also, almost always, the least maintained thing they own.

The pattern is predictable. The first twenty products get real attention. The next two hundred get whatever the supplier's spreadsheet contained. Titles end up inconsistent, half the descriptions are manufacturer boilerplate that appears on forty other sites, sizing and materials are missing, and the fields Google needs to show your products for free are simply empty.

That last part is the one people underestimate. Free Google Shopping listings are available to almost every store, and they are gated behind unglamorous data: a brand field, a product category, a valid identifier, a condition. A store with good products and empty fields is invisible in the place where people with their wallets out are already looking.

The work itself is not difficult, it is voluminous. Doing it by hand one product at a time is why it never gets done. We do it in bulk, with the export-edit-import discipline that keeps a three-hundred-product catalogue from breaking, and we check the result rather than trusting the import.

There is a specific discipline to bulk work that is worth naming, because getting it wrong is how catalogues get destroyed. Everything goes out as an export, gets edited outside the store, and comes back as a controlled import against a known set of handles, never as a hand-edit across hundreds of live products. Then the result gets checked, because an import that reports success can still have quietly blanked a column. We keep the previous export, so any change is reversible.

Then we keep it true. A catalogue is not a project you finish, it is a thing that drifts the moment your supplier changes a pack size, renames a colour, or discontinues half a range. Keeping it accurate month to month is the difference between a catalogue that earns and one that quietly stops, and it is the part that never survives being somebody's side task.

Questions

What people ask about catalogue and product listings.

Can you handle hundreds of products?

Yes, and that is when this service earns its keep. Bulk work is done through exports and controlled imports rather than by hand, with checks afterwards, so a three-hundred-product change is a day's work rather than a month of clicking.

Will you write the product descriptions yourself?

Yes, if you want. We write plain, specific descriptions that answer the questions buyers actually ask, and we will not fill them with adjectives. If you have a strong brand voice, send us examples and we will follow it. If you would rather write them yourself, we will structure and format them.

Can you get my products onto Google Shopping?

Yes. That means connecting Merchant Center properly, filling the required product fields, fixing the disapprovals that follow, and keeping the feed healthy afterwards. Most of the work is the data, not the connection.

What if my product data lives in another system?

That is common and workable. We handle catalogues that originate in spreadsheets, supplier feeds, or an ERP, and we will tell you honestly whether a proper integration is worth building or whether a monthly controlled import is the more sensible answer for a store your size.
